Wall-mounted stations For attaching over a mud shelter tube if visible for faster control of termites. Recommended to purchase more than one to be certain that termites during monitoring do not consume the entire station and desert the feeding site for another site. They quit feeding when the food source is depleted and do not return at all or quickly to begin feeding again! We have little data to predict when they will return.
Take note: I learned this the "hard" way!
Installation: The standard way an above ground termite bait station is installed is to have located a suitable termite mud shelter tube to bait. The identification part is as demonstrated on photographs shown on earlier pages. Next, you want a s large a tube as is possible to use. Number of termites using the tube can roughly be equated to the size of the mud shelter tube.
LOCATION: When setting the bait station out, the key is to remember that this bait may not last to completely provide the demand the termites place on the station.
CHANGING THE STATION: They may feed voraciously of only minimally. No matter, the station will eventually need to be changed out for a new one with more bait “food” for the termites. Make certain you have enough room to manipulate to get the attachment screws in and reasonably secure. If these items can be assured, then the location is good
