How-to Control Dampwood Termites

How-to Control Dampwood Termites

Control and maintenance consists of the elimination of the moisture source and all wood-to-ground contact. Then the infested wood should be replaced or treated. (Preferably both.) I recommend treating the affected wood with a 15% solution of Timbor or Armour Guard (or preventatively treating with a 10% solution) with one of the same materials.  Treatment of the soil with Premise 2 may be desirable to more permanently discourage the reinfestation of Dampwood termites.  Always remember, treat the attractive food source (wood) and treat the source of moisture and possible entry (the soil)
